Chon-Ji: Literally means the "Heaven and the Earth". It is in the Orient interpreted as the creation of the world, or the beginning of human history, therefore, it is the initial pattern played by the beginner. This pattern consists of two similar parts, one to represent the Heaven and the other the Earth. End of Pattern: Left foot moves forward to right foot. Attention: Feet are together, hands are straight down to the sides. Bow: From the waist only, 45 degrees with the head up. Stances:Straddle: The legs are apart and bent with the weight evenly distributed on both feet, knee directly over the ankles, and the feet are a little more than shoulder width apart; front is the direction your face points. Walking: The front knee is bent, the back knee is locked, and both sets of toes are straight ahead. Feet are a little more than shoulder width apart, weight is 50/50. The front foot determines the stance. "L"-Stance: Legs are bent with the weight evenly distributed. The rear foot determines the stance. Hands:
